Description

The 20ft expandable folding house is a practical answer to temporary and semi-permanent accommodation. It is produced as a complete steel-framed module, transported in its folded state and expanded on site into around 37 m2 of floor area. Every service - power, lighting, switches and sockets - is pre-installed and tested, so the buyer receives a finished room instead of a shell. The galvanised frame and powder-coated finish are specified for repeated handling and years of outdoor exposure.

This version is clad in dark brown wood grain and fitted with a wide sliding glass door instead of the standard single leaf door. The deeper tone reads as a timber cabin, which suits forest, mountain and lakeside plots, and the sliding door opens the living room onto a terrace or deck so the interior and the outdoor space work as one area. The large glazed panel also brings in daylight, making the 37 m2 interior feel considerably larger than its footprint.

Strength comes from a hot-dip galvanised steel frame built to national-standard sections. Side beams, end beams, columns and secondary beams are welded into one rigid box, and the folding wings hang on 130 mm galvanised hinges that are rated for repeated opening. Electrostatic powder coating plus an anti-corrosion layer protects the steel against rust, salt air and long-term UV exposure.

Thermal performance comes from 950-type EPS sandwich panels throughout: 65 mm on the external walls and the wing roofs, 50 mm on the main roof, the inner ceiling and the partition walls. An 18 mm glass magnesium floor deck covers the main body and the two wings, giving a solid base that can be finished with wood laminate, vinyl or tile according to the project.
