10ft Expandable Folding House One Bedroom Suite

The 10ft expandable folding house is a factory-finished prefabricated home that travels as a compact container and opens on site into a full-size room. Two side wings are hinged to the central body on galvanised hinges and swing outward, so about 18.5 m2 of usable floor space appears without a single brick being laid. Everything inside - insulation, wiring, lighting, sockets, windows, door and floor finish - is installed in the factory and tested before shipping, which means the unit arrives as a complete room rather than a building kit.

This version is the compact 10 ft model of the range. The two wings open to the sides of the central body and produce one bedroom, one living room and one bathroom inside 18.5 m2, which makes it large enough for a couple or a small family while staying small enough for a single truck and a tight plot. Because the footprint is only 2950 mm by 6300 mm when open, it is the model most often chosen for gatehouses, ticket booths, small site offices, garden studios and one-bedroom rental cabins where space on site is limited but a real, insulated room is still required.

The structure is a fully galvanised national-standard steel frame. Top and bottom side beams, end beams and secondary beams form a closed box that carries the load of both wings, and 130 mm galvanised hinges take the movement of every fold. The frame is protected by electrostatic powder coating over an anti-corrosion coating, so the steel keeps its finish in coastal, humid and high-sunlight locations.

Walls, roof and partitions are 950-type EPS colour steel sandwich panels with 0.3 mm steel on both faces - 65 mm for the external walls and wing roofs, 50 mm for the roof, ceiling and partitions. The floor is an 18 mm glass magnesium board laid over the main frame and both wings, which stays flat and stable under furniture loads and resists moisture from below.
